1. The licence
Buying ModeGuard Pro gives you a personal, non exclusive licence to use the app on the machines you own or control. Team gives you five such licences. You may not resell, sublicence, or redistribute the licence key. The licence is one time and does not expire.
2. The free tier
The free tier is free permanently, not a trial that stops working. We may change what sits in each tier for future versions, but a version you already have keeps working as it did when you got it.
3. Refunds
Fourteen days, no argument. If ModeGuard does not do what this site says it does, write to us within fourteen days of purchase and we will refund you in full. You do not need to justify it.
4. What the app does to your machine
ModeGuard installs a system wide keyboard hook and can suppress or rewrite key input according to the bindings you configure. That is the entire point of it, and you are agreeing to it when you install. It cannot intercept input inside elevated windows without being run as administrator, and we do not recommend running it elevated unless you need that.
How your keystrokes are handled is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. No warranty
ModeGuard is provided as it is. We have tested it and we use it ourselves every day, but we cannot promise it will be free of faults on every machine, keyboard layout and application combination that exists. To the extent the law allows, Silent Key Technologies is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
6. Payment
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, or by Microsoft if you install through the Microsoft Store. Their terms cover the transaction itself.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be dated on this page. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept them.
8. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
